Is there a limit on how many files I can drop?

No. There is no file-count limit. If the tab slows, split the batch.

How large can each file be?

Each file must be under 512 MB. Files over 64 MB may take a minute. Keep the tab open until they finish.

Do batch files get uploaded?

No. Every file is compressed on your device.

How do I download the whole batch?

After files are ready, download a ZIP. The archive is named passprint-compressed.zip.

Why does a large batch slow the tab?

Encode runs in this tab. AVIF and huge camera files take longer. Compress fewer files at a time if the machine fans up.

Can each file use a different format?

Yes. New files follow the defaults. Open one item in the queue to change its format or quality.

Does batch compress use credits?

No. Compression is free and does not use photo credits.

How to compress a batch

One batch, mixed formats

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF can sit in the same queue. Each file keeps its own output format unless you change it.

JPEG

Default for camera photos in a batch.

PNG

Keep for UI shots mixed into the folder.

WebP

A solid default when the batch is for a site.

AVIF

Slower per file. Fine for a short queue.

What a batch file looks like

Same demos as the main compressor. In a batch, compress all, then ZIP.
